Manna Honey

Manna Honey. The manna honey is obtained from other substances than the pollen and the nectar, being a honeydew honey of animal origin. There are certain insects (from the Aphids family) which consume the honeydew from the different parts of the plants, eliminating sugars through the excretion process. The foraging bees collect these sugars and turn them into honey, the same way they do with the nectar, only that in this activity they make a lot of effort and lose a lot of energy. Physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristics:  it has a much darker color than the classic honey, because of the lack of yellow, given by the flowers pollen. Its hues are from green to dark brown, almost black. with a special fragrance and taste, due to its increased mineral content, the manna honey is a unique type of honey, with a specific taste, slightly caramelized; it is 8-20 times richer in minerals (calcium, magnesium) than a floral honey and it contains more vitamins, pigments and resins; it is a type of honey that crystallizes very quickly, due to its high content of glucose; its opalescence is greater than the one found in other types of honey; chemically it contains: carbohydrates (glucose, fructose, trisaccharides), proteins, minerals, organic acids (formic, acetic), vitamins (C, B complex, P), the essential oils, enzymes, water, and inhibin (a powerful bactericide). Therapeutic indications:  immune diseases, rachitis at children, anemia, vitamin deficiency, spasmophilia; digestive disorders, boosts detoxifying the body; dermatological, inflammatory, degenerative conditions; osteoporosis, joint disorder; infectious diseases.
